¡Hola! My name is Elena and I am from Granada, from the south of Spain. I studied Translation and Interpreting at the University of Granada and after that, I did a master’s degree in audiovisual translation since I really liked translating audiovisual stuff like films and series.

However, after doing this master’s degree, I realised I also enjoy giving classes to people and helping them to improve their level of different languages. That is why, I studied a master’s degree in the teaching of English in secondary education.

When I finished it, I decided to put all the theory that I have learnt into practice and so I decided to work as a Spanish language assistant in four different high schools of Glasgow.

It was the best experience of my life since I could teach Spanish to many children of different levels and ages. At the same time, I also taught Spanish to adults and I worked as a Spanish mentor for Articulate Language Camps. We made different games to teach Spanish in an enjoyable way and kids really liked them.

And now, I am living in Newcastle and I am looking forward to continue with the teaching of my native language to other people so they can also take advantage of this great language.
